Welcome to the Panama-Chiriqui web site. This site was created for anyone who has an interest in Panama. The country of Panama is a beautiful Central American paradise, and although the Panama Canal is the most common point of interest, there is much more to experience in this tropical wonderland. Panama is very rich in history, dating back to the days of the earliest explorers. Ruins of old spanish forts can be found throughout the country, as well as archeological sites of much earlier indigenous tribes. There are beautiful beaches, rivers, and mountain ranges that stretch from the border of Columbia, to the border of Costa Rica. The climate, which consists primarily of two seasons (rainy season and dry season), is very warm in the tropical rainforest region, but very cool in the highland cloudforest region of Chiriqui. Perhaps the best kept secret of Panama is the agricultural region of Chiriqui. Chiriqui's majestic volcanic mountain ranges, trout filled mountain rivers, and beautiful agricultural scenery will leave you with a feeling of enchantment. Join us as we explore the country of Panama, from the rainforests of Darien to the cloudforests of Chiriqui.
